“ Small cozy place, tasty food, reasonably priced. Kids loved ice cream with apple jam and pancakes with chocolate for desert. Place was worse a detour from motorway for a lunch. ”
“ Good schnitzels and sandwiches at reasonable prices. Nothing too fancy or memorable but a reliable stop for Lübbenau visitors who get the munches. Maybe opt for seats away from the main road, it can get a little noisy. ”

“ I visited on a sunny Thursday afternoon. Nice and relaxed atmosphere with locals having their afternoon beers. Ordered the Schnitzel with a fried egg tempted by photos on google. The young female server was nice and attentive. However the communication wasn't very easy due to my poor german and her limited english. One thing to note - Though Spreewald is a tourist destination, the majority of visitors seems to be German and I learned many people don't speak good english including young people. My food was enjoyable at a reasonable price but not spectacular or beyond expectation. Schnitzel holstein served on bread was somewhat unique to me. And it was nice that it was served with their famous Gherkin! Also, their local beer with preserved strawberries was quite a treat. Overall experience was very good if you are looking for a little humble restaurant for a casual local experience. ”
“ Very friendly Peaceful and quiet Good food Not expensive Unfortunately, it seem that the whole outside area is encouring cigarette smoking, and there were ashtrays on every table. Would be nice to have one side for the smokers and another for those who are not, that way we can all enjoy the outside. Luckily for us, we were alone in the garden and we could enjoy the nice atmosphere, food and smell. ”

“ Interesting spot with lots of different signs and decorations everywhere. Looks a bit kitschy to be honest, but that's just my opinion. Small kitchen so everyone got their food in about 30 minutes. Food is tasty and affordable with decent portion sizes, despite what some say about small portions. Solyanka soup was good, schnitzel was also delicious and juicy. Big minus - no card payment. Saw Google responses from four years ago saying the same thing, so clearly nothing's changed. Must still be a small operation. If you have cash and want good, cheap food, it works. But be ready for very "educational" service - the woman clearing my plate made sure to mention I didn't finish the bread that came with my schnitzel. Feels like it's only good for language practice - generally don't want restaurant lectures with my meal. If that doesn't bother you, go for it. ”
